I am so excited that my new website is LIVE for you to shop today! It is similar to any other online site but there are a couple of quick tricks to help navigate it.

This is the home page where you will go when you google me - cbshowroom.com! Try any search term, I should show up somewhere - Lighting in Crested Butte, Crested Butte lighting, mountain colors, let me know how it looks on your end and if you can find me! Make sure you are clicking on the showroom, not the paint store! That is a fun site to check out but it doesn't allow you to shop lighting.

Step 1 (after you found my site!)

Click on the upper right corner labeled wish list and start an account. This is not a secure site - I am not asking for credit card info or anything so don't worry about making your password super complicated, and it's easy to reset in the future if you forget! The most important thing is to does this and log on - even if you don't really add anything to a wish list yet. What this does is allows me to see that you started an account and then I can set your discount code! Then you will be seeing YOUR price vs. the price you see when you are not logged on which is the protected price you will see on other sites. This way you can price check me and make sure I am competitive pricing wise across the Internet! Check out this link - I did a screen share to show you how to do it!

Step 2 START SHOPPING! (after you found my site!)

You can type in a part number if you saw something you love and search that way so you can see my price. But if you don't really know what you are looking for, you can filter it by brand, style, or type of fixture. Also - this is a great time to reach out to me and ask for some direction! This is a cloud based program so as you add items, I can see them on my end! If you found a fixture you love but it's too expensive or out of stock, I can see your style but then add some other items to your cart that are similar but are available or better priced!

Step 3 Reach out to me!

Once you are done shopping and ready to order, shoot me a text or email. I will turn this into my formal quote with taxes and bulbs added.

You can check out all of my lighting + hardware brands here. Unfortunately you cannot shop for hardware online, yet! But the website company that hosts the lighting page says it is in the works. As always, text, call, or email me and let me know how I can help!

Replacing the door hardware can be one of the fastest and most affordable ways to update your home. I love being an Emtek hardware dealer because they have so many on trend but timeless handles. Sometimes the amount of choices and combos can be overwhelming! I have a massive display of #Emtek hardware over here in the Showroom but even with their awesome online visualizer, sometimes you just need to hold it in your hand before you commit to buying a whole household of handles. They offer an amazing FREE sample program that really help you visualize some of the many combos out there. I can't wait to see what my client (and friend) decides on her handles. She knows she LOVES the 9" sideplate but she really needed to hold the handles up to her freshly painted black doors to make a decision.

The brass is so pretty against the black but some people worry, am I being too trendy? Replacing all 32 door knobs in her house will be a bigger investment. By going brass, you run the risk of getting bored of the brass as the trends change. But gosh, it's pretty dramatic don't you think? Going brass might be a risk worth taking for that wow factor!

But nothing is more timeless than a perfect matte black handle. This doesn't have the wow factor as the brass but man, I sure could get used to staring at the subtle contrast of black on black.

What would you choose???

Time and time again, people walk in and ask us what our favorite colors. The next few blogs will be focusing on our favorite paint colors and why we love them here in Crested Butte. With subtle difference, there is a white paint color for everyone below! When trying to pick your favorite color - don't over think it and ask us for help! Read below to find out why these are our favorite white paint colors, time and time again.

BENJAMIN MOORE CHANTILLY LACE

The freshest white they have with literally no undertone. Some really bright whites tend to feel blue in a big space but not with Chantilly Lace. Its the color of paper, the color of primer, the perfect non color to use in your space. This is a go to for that fresh white ceiling or a bright crisp space when used on walls as well.

BENJAMIN MOORE WHITE DOVE

When you want a fresh white that has a little more warmth than Chantilly Lace, White Dove has been consistently a favorite since I started working here in 2004. We call it a chameleon - it has a little yellow and a little gray in it so depending on what other colors are in your space, it changes to look great with any wood tone or other color. This is a great go to ceiling color when you want contrast from your wall color but don't want it to be bright.

BENJAMIN MOORE CLASSIC GRAY

Despite it's name, Classic Gray isn't gray at all. It's just the perfect warm white. When you want your space to be bright and airy but not feel like a gallery, Classic Gray has enough body to it to just this. Trim, ceilings, walls, you name it, it just works.

BENJAMIN MOORE NATURAL CREAM

As we move slowly away from white and grays paint color wise, I am seeing the resurgence of warmer whites and beiges (and dare I say COLOR on the wall again??). Natural Cream fills that gap perfectly when you don't want a tan house but you are over the gray look. It does live up to its name - it's warm and creamy without too much yellow or gray.

WHAT'S NEXT??

I love seeing the new trends and what designers are doing to upset the design world with paint. Despite that, we are still seeing customers in Crested Butte stick with neutral walls with the pops of color being in their other pieces in the room (rugs, pillows, furniture, etc) But as we see lead designers start using color again, I think people will be ready to paint over the white and bring some color into their life easily with a brush and roller.
